  • John Lennon was assassinated on 8 December 1980 in New York,  Double Fantasy was the last album released in his lifetime.
  • In 2010, a two-CD set called 'Double Fantasy Stripped Down' was released. It included a newly remastered copy of the original album along with an alternative version of the album featuring simpler arrangements, and a pretty awful photo-shopped copy of the sleeve, by his talent less son, Sean Lennon. Its running time was 3 minutes longer.
